Joaquín Salvador Lavado Tejón, better known as Quino, first published Mafalda in the weekly magazine “Primera plana” in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1964, where he neither planned nor imagined that the wisdom of his character would touch all of our hearts, becoming an icon and described by many as an attitude towards life.
